Muscle Warming Whipped Butter

Equipment

  • Heat-safe glass container
  • Water bath
  • Candy or digital thermometer
  • Silicone spatula
  • Handheld mixer or blender
  • Glass jars with lids
  • Rubbing alcohol and paper towel for sanitizing
  • Digital scale

Ingredients

  • 56 grams Virgin Coconut Oil
  • 56 grams Shea Butter
  • 28 grams Cocoa Butter
  • 18 grams Black seed oil
  • 18 grams Avocado oil
  • 20 grams Jojoba oil
  • 2 grams Vitamin E Oil
  • 4 grams Essential Oils

Instructions

Melt the Butters and Oils:

  • Combine the coconut oil, shea butter, cocoa butter, and liquid oils in a heat-safe glass container.
  • Place the container in a water bath over low heat. Stir occasionally until the mixture is completely melted and liquid.

Cool the Mixture:

  • Carefully remove the container from the water bath. Let the mixture cool in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes, or until it becomes semi-solid.

Whip the Mixture:

  • Using a handheld mixer or blender, whip the semi-solid mixture until light and fluffy. This step ensures your rub has a smooth, creamy texture.

Incorporate the Additives:

  • Once the mixture has reached room temperature, add the vitamin E oil and essential oils. Stir well to ensure they’re evenly distributed.

Transfer and Label:

  • Spoon the finished muscle rub into glass jars. Label them with the product name, ingredients, and the date it was made. Store in a cool, dry place.

Notes

When working with essential oils, safety is essential. Essential oils are highly concentrated and powerful, so it’s important to research the safety guidelines for each oil you choose. Factors like age, pregnancy, health conditions, and skin sensitivity can affect how essential oils should be used. Always dilute essential oils properly, avoid those with known contraindications, and perform a patch test before applying any new blend to your skin. For this recipe, ensure your essential oils are skin-safe and suitable for topical use. Always do a small patch test before applying a new recipe to a larger area. If you’re unsure, consult a certified aromatherapist or trusted resource for guidance.
